Below are 5 artists who use everyday objects to create
pieces of work by either transforming, altering, reconstructing, or simply just
using the objects. The things you can do
with everyday objects are mind-blowing.
2. Tara Donovan: Tara Donovan is known for her cloudlike sculpture made solely of Styrofoam cups. By gluing the cups together, she creates an organic form that diffuses the light into beautiful patterns.
3. Thomas Jackson: Thomas Jackson creates colorful pieces of art out of objects such as plastic cups and Post-It Notes that he suspends in air to photograph. His photos are taken in outdoor settings where he places the everyday objects together, which he then photographs and uses Photoshop to remove whatever support he used to hold the object up. He adds nothing to his photos, instead only using the program to take things away.

4. Yuken Teruya: Yuken Teruya uses objects such as McDonald’s bag and toilet paper rolls, transforming the objects into landscape scenes that are reminiscent of his hometown in Okinawa. He cuts the images out of the object, transforming the mundane into something extraordinary.
5. Ernie Button: I’ve saved the best for last. Ernie Button creates his own unique art which he’s title “Cerealism”, landscapes that are created out of your everyday breakfast cereal that is glued into place. I guess he wasn’t ever told not to play with his food!
